How LinkedIn’s Talent Connect 2025 Drives AI-Powered Recruitment

Strona główna » How LinkedIn’s Talent Connect 2025 Drives AI-Powered Recruitment

We have written a few stories highlighting how LinkedIn has a more prominent role in the Polish recruitment landscape than in the case of many other countries. This is partially due to the shortage of availability of active recruitment databases in the Polish market. It’s also because of the amount of ‘near-shoring’ and outsourcing businesses like Cisco, JP Morgan, Google, IBM and many others, that are based in Poland.

Last June Apollo Technical created a report showing LinkedIn users by country. The report found Poland to be in 28th place with approximately 3,170,000 members. This number is higher than larger countries like Japan.

The LinkedIn Talent Connect Summit

There are several online references showing that LinkedIn’s Talent Connect Summit has been happening since at least 2014. The event, dedicated to leaders in talent, HR, and recruiting, is formed of two parts. Talent Connect Summit, which takes place in-person in San Diego from October 20 to 22. And Talent Connect Show, which takes place virtually in the Americas (21 and 22 October), in EMEA (23 and 24 October) and in Asia Pacific (28 and 29 October).

The main in-person event is by invitation only, whereas the show is open. Both are free to attend.

Speakers in the past have included Amber Grewal, Chief Talent Officer and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Ana Recio, Vice President of Global Talent Acquisition at Uber. Both companies have a strong presence in Poland too. In fact they both have a near-shoring hub, BCG in Warsaw, and Uber in Krakow.

An important soundbite from the 2024 edition was how “80 percent of industry experts surveyed at Talent Connect say the biggest challenge Talent and Recruitment leaders face in 2025 is delivering on the promise of AI for Talent teams.”

How AI Redefines Recruiting Excellence

Following on from many large events there are several reports that are made available to delegates. At last year’s LinkedIn Talent Connect Summit, LinkedIn submitted it’s “The 2025 Future of Recruiting report” which had a focus on how AI redefines recruiting excellence.

The report highlights how AI deployment is accelerating, but challenges loom.

Some key statistics from the report include:

  • 73 percent of talent acquisition pros agree that AI will change the way organizations hire
  • 61 percent of talent acquisition pros believe AI can improve how they measure quality of hire
  • 51 percent of talent acquisition pros believe AI can help improve their quality of hire
  • 93 percent of talent acquisition pros believe accurately assessing a candidate’s skills is crucial for improving quality of hire

As for the bigger barriers to using Generative AI in the recruiting process:

  • 37 percent of talent acquisition pros believe data privacy and security concerns are a top challenge
  • 36 percent of talent acquisition pros believe lack of budget is a top challenge
  • 33 percent of talent acquisition pros believe accuracy concerns is a top challenge
  • 32 percent of talent acquisition pros believe that uncertainty about where to start with AI tools is a top challenge
  • 31 percent of talent acquisition pros believe legal, and compliance concerns is a top challenge

A further interesting statistic shared at the Summit was related to the increase in job posts without degree requirements. Since 2020 this has risen from 22 percent of job posts to 26 percent of job posts in 2023.

How Well have you Prepared for the Age of AI?

The opportunities that AI is bringing to the workplace is immense. Those that are early adopters will see a significant increase in their recruitment strategies. Korn Ferry, just last week, published a report called: “How AI in Recruiting is Reshaping Hiring”.

The report highlights seven areas where AI can help talent acquisition professionals. These are:

  • AI and Workforce Planning. Especially highlighting employees with transferable skills who can grow into new roles
  • AI and Job Ad Creation. This trend can help employers shift toward skills-based hiring rather than rigid job histories
  • AI and Candidate Sourcing. Tools powered by AI can search vast online sources, additionally AI has an ability to look beyond skills and experience to locate the right talent
  • AI and Candidate Application. The recruitment experience can be improved through ensuring feedback by interfacing with AI that is available 24/7 and not just during the working day
  • AI and Candidate Screening. AI can use machine language capability to identify strong candidates who might otherwise be overlooked. This can be done by mapping career trajectories, for instance
  • AI and Interview Scheduling. AI can summarize recruiter notes; it can generate candidate-specific questions and can synthesize feedback from multiple interviewers into a summary
  • AI and Onboarding. Generative AI can create personalized onboarding documents and guide new hires through paperwork, benefits enrolment, and training materials

If you are serious about your career in recruitment, then both LinkedIn’s flagship event, as well as the latest trends in AI will be crucial to your role. As we progress into the summer break it might be a good time to re-evaluate your AI adoption. And, if you haven’t embraced AI yet, perhaps this is the time to do it.

Do you work with a forward-thinking recruitment partner? Do you want to work with a team of recruiters that embraces technology and follows the latest trends?
