We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:
The Transformation Portfolio Lead is accountable for shaping and governing the transformation portfolio for Enterprise Integration Platforms (EIP), in line with the Platform strategy. This is a senior advisory role to the EIP Leadership Team, providing integrated oversight across both Run-the-Bank (RTB) initiatives and funded Change-the-Bank (CTB) programmes. The role sets the portfolio operating rhythm, drives financial discipline and governance, and ensures transparency across delivery, risks, dependencies and benefits.
Portfolio strategy and prioritisation
• Translate Platform strategy into a multi-year portfolio roadmap with clear outcomes and milestones
• Lead RTB portfolio prioritisation and capacity planning, factoring in operational resilience and risk appetite
Governance and delivery oversight
• Own the RTB governance framework (portfolio reviews, steerco, prioritisation forums)
• Manage the Book of Work (prioritisation, resourcing, sequencing)
• Identify delivery risks early and escalate where necessary
• Partner with central PMO on visibility of the transformation portfolio
Financial management
• Own portfolio-level cost governance (forecasting, variance analysis, investment controls)
• Partner with COO, Finance and Product Owners on investment cases and TCO models
• Support commercialisation activity (pricing, recharge models)
Benefits realisation
• Define and embed benefits tracking based on measurable KPIs
• Report on trends and root causes affecting portfolio value
Standards and enablement
• Drive adoption of consistent portfolio standards and tools across the organisation
• Coach Product Owners and delivery teams on governance and reporting quality
• Build cross-platform collaboration on shared dependencies
Executive communication
• Provide decision-oriented reporting to the Leadership Team (progress, risks, dependencies, cost, benefits)
• Influence stakeholders through insight and recommendations
Must-have:
• Strong portfolio leadership within large-scale Technology organisations
• Executive stakeholder management: credible at Leadership Team level, able to challenge constructively and influence outcomes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, pivoting and adapting to change quickly
• Portfolio leadership: ability to shape, steer and land portfolio decisions; creates clarity and pace across ambiguity
• Strong financial management experience: comfortable with portfolio-level cost drivers, forecasting, TCO, and investment decision support
Other requirements:
• Significant experience leading portfolios in large Technology organisations (RTB and CTB), in complex, regulated environments
• Proven track record of portfolio prioritisation and governance with senior stakeholders
• Experience with benefits realisation frameworks and KPI management
• Experience working with central PMO or governance functions
• Management and decision-making experience in a regulated industry
• Strong grasp of governance, risk and dependency management
• Excellent written and verbal communication (reporting that drives decisions, not just updates)
• Ability to build partnerships across COO/PMO, Finance, Product, Architecture and Engineering
• Continuous improvement mindset
Nice to have:
• Exposure to integration platforms, middleware, APIs, data movement, or enterprise platform operating models
• Prestigious position at one of the world’s largest banks.
• Stable, long-term projects.
• Competitive salary with a B2B contract.
• Hybrid work (8 days per month from the office in Cracow).
• Private healthcare and multisport card.
• Personal growth and development opportunities with the possibility to rotate between projects.
