We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:

The team builds and operates a shared AWS foundation platform used by multiple engineering teams globally to provision, manage and scale cloud services. The focus is on creating internal tooling, automation frameworks and reusable infrastructure components that enable other teams to deliver applications on AWS in a secure and consistent way. This is a platform engineering setup rather than a classic DevOps support role, with a strong focus on building, improving and maintaining tooling at scale across a complex AWS landscape (90+ services). The team works in a flexible Agile model with emphasis on fast delivery rather than heavy process. Working hours are standard business hours (9–17), with no on-call duty.
What will you do:
• Build and maintain a large-scale AWS Foundation Platform covering 90+ AWS services
• Develop and support internal tooling used for AWS account provisioning and cloud resource management
• Contribute to platform engineering work supporting global cloud adoption across multiple teams
• Work closely with engineering teams as a platform enablement function
• Ensure security standards, governance and compliance requirements are applied across the platform
• Build and maintain automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions (Terraform, Ansible)
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Support troubleshooting, incident investigation and root cause analysis for platform-related issues
• Work in a “build it, own it, support it” model with end-to-end ownership of delivered solutions
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS across a broad range of services and good understanding of cloud architecture
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with multiple distributed systems
• Strong software engineering background with Python as primary language (production-level development, not only scripting)
• FastAPI experience and additional programming languages are welcome
• Experience working with large codebases, including maintenance, refactoring and ongoing development of existing systems
• Comfort working with legacy systems and incremental improvements
• Solid understanding of SDLC in enterprise environments
• Experience with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code
Tools & technologies:
• Terraform, Ansible, Git
• CI/CD tools (e.g. AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild)
• AWS services: SSM, Lambda, Step Functions, EC2 Image Builder
• Core infrastructure: IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, Linux (RHEL / Amazon Linux)
