Verita HR Polska is a Human Resources service provider operating under number 5694.
We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:
This is an Individual Contributor (IC) engineering role working across platform engineering and cloud infrastructure delivery. You’ll help build and enhance cloud landing zones and developer self-service capabilities, and you’ll contribute to solution implementation alongside senior SMEs and partner teams.
Scope note: This is an infrastructure-focused role covering networking, identity, compute, storage, containers, CI/CD, security, and observability—primarily at the implementation and operational layer.
• Support delivery and run: Contribute across the delivery and run lifecycle, including infrastructure/software changes, testing, and operational support. Flex between build and run work based on team priorities.
• Deliver scoped outcomes: Take ownership of well-defined components or services, helping to implement technology solutions that meet customer and journey requirements, with guidance from senior engineers and architects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify priorities, and feed into the evolving direction of the product/service.
• Automation and standardisation: Help maintain a consistent engineering environment by automating repeatable tasks and applying agreed standards to reduce variation and improve reliability.
•Testing contribution: Create and maintain test plans and evidence for your changes (e.g., unit and integration tests) within automated test environments to support code quality.
• Release and change support: Support DevOps teams during releases/changes by preparing deployments, validating changes, and troubleshooting issues. Build domain knowledge over time and document what you learn.
• Operational readiness: Work with Ops, Dev, and Test to identify and address operational considerations early (performance, alerting, runbooks, design issues) as part of delivery.
• Incident participation: Participate in incident investigation and resolution for the services you support, following established processes and escalating appropriately.
• Resilience contribution: Contribute to resilience and recoverability goals (e.g., monitoring coverage, backups, failover procedures) to help meet agreed service targets (RTO/RPO/SLOs where applicable).
• CI/CD enablement: Help build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation within the team, supporting continuous improvement rather than large “big bang” rewrites.
• Continuous learning (regulated environment): Stay current with relevant tools and practices, including security and regulatory considerations (e.g., data privacy, consent, and residency) and apply guidance from control functions and SMEs.
• Public cloud: Practical experience in one or more clouds (GCP preferred; strong AWS/Azure candidates welcome with willingness to learn GCP).
• Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform/OpenTofu/Pulumi or equivalent; ability to write and maintain modules and environments.
• Containers & orchestration: Working knowledge of Kubernetes (GKE/EKS/AKS), Helm, and container basics; familiarity with container security concepts is a plus.
• CI/CD & GitOps: Experience contributing to pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) and/or GitOps tools (Argo CD/Flux), including troubleshooting deployments.
• Networking & security: Understanding of VPC/VNet fundamentals, IAM/RBAC basics, ingress concepts, and secure-by-default practices.
• Scripting/tooling: Proficiency in one of Python, Go, or Bash for automation and operational tooling.
Nice to Have
• Exposure to SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, incident management, error budgets).
• Experience with observability stacks (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Security tooling familiarity (policy-as-code, image scanning, secrets management).
• Prestigious position at one of the world’s largest banks
• Stable, long-term projects
• Competitive salary with a B2B contract
• Hybrid work (6 days per month from the office in Cracow)
• Private healthcare and multisport card
• Personal growth and development opportunities with the possibility to rotate between projects
