We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:
We are looking for a Quantitative Developer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining risk models and quantitative libraries covering traded, treasury, and operational risk. The role sits at the intersection of quantitative development and production engineering, supporting the design, development, and testing of analytic platforms used for data-driven risk management decisions.
• Design, develop, and maintain components of a quantitative library in Python, transforming models and code from quantitative teams into production-ready services
• Contribute to software development across prototyping initiatives, building both proof-of-concept solutions and production-quality platforms
• Support model release lifecycle activities, including testing and technical documentation
• Collaborate closely with quantitative analysts, engineers, IT, and other stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into technical implementations
• Work within an Agile development environment
• Move flexibly between rapid prototyping to validate new analytical concepts and structured development of robust, scalable solutions
• 2–3 years of professional experience in software development, ideally in Python (or strong experience in C++, C#, or Java with solid Python proficiency)
• Understanding of the application/software development lifecycle and familiarity with Agile practices
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and testing principles/methodologies
• Good grasp of algorithms and data structures, and awareness of code optimization techniques
• M.Sc./B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline (e.g., Quantitative Finance, Economics, Engineering)
• Fluent English, written and spoken; comfortable working in an international team
