We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:
We’re looking for a Power BI Platform SME to join a team responsible for enterprise analytics and reporting platforms used by thousands of users across a global organisation. In this role, you’ll help manage, support, and evolve the Power BI environment, ensuring it remains secure, scalable and aligned with governance standards. You’ll work across platform engineering, operations, architecture, and stakeholder engagement, helping deliver reliable reporting capabilities while driving improvements in performance, automation and user experience.
What will you do:
• Administer, maintain, and continuously improve the Power BI platform, ensuring compliance with security, governance and architectural standards
• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to support operational monitoring, governance and business decision-making
• Manage Power BI capacities, workspaces, deployment pipelines and platform services across the organisation
• Implement and maintain monitoring, telemetry and alerting solutions to ensure platform stability, performance and reliability
• Produce architecture and technical documentation, collaborate with security teams and address compliance and security requirements
• Enable Power BI Copilot, AI capabilities, automation and self-service solutions to improve user experience and operational efficiency
• Provide technical guidance and support while contributing to the organisation’s Power BI and self-service analytics strategy
• Strong experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, including platform administration, configuration and support
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Python or similar scripting tools for automation and platform management
• Good understanding of security, governance, access controls and compliance in enterprise environments
• Experience in solution design, architecture documentation and technical decision-making
• Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, telemetry and operational support
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders
• Experience building Power BI reports and dashboards for reporting and decision-making
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, deployment pipelines and release management
• Proactive mindset focused on automation, continuous improvement and service optimization
