We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:

Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities

The role is part of a larger Strategic Data Platform programme focused on assessing and improving the data quality of key internal systems. The Data Quality (DQ) team aims to be the most innovative in the organisation. The work covers automated DQ rule prediction and implementation, anomaly detection, root cause investigation of data issues, and remediation campaigns. The team works on Google Cloud Platform, using BigQuery, GenAI, Data Studio, and Python. We are looking for a skilled Senior Business Analyst who can understand a given problem, use the available tools to analyse the data and clearly communicate and visualise proposed solutions.

What will you do:
• Collaborating with data owners, data engineers, and business users to define data quality requirements and standards
• Developing and automating data quality rules and checks using Google Cloud Platform tools
• Investigating data quality findings and planning remediation activities
• Performing ad-hoc data quality analysis and impact assessments, including analysing and interpreting trends and identifying patterns in complex data sets
• Proactively identifying and solving problems
• Driving assigned projects, including facilitating discussions and monitoring progress
• Communicating data quality findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a data-related role (e.g. Tech Business Analyst, Data Management / Modelling, Data Analyst)
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform products (BigQuery, Looker Studio, Cloud Storage)
• Understanding of cloud concepts and experience delivering cloud-based solutions
• Proven ability to interpret large data sets and explain complex issues concisely and in simple language
• Advanced listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Openness to new tools and technologies
• Python is a plus (used in ad-hoc projects)
