Technical Project Manager

You will coordinate a large-scale migration of workloads from VMware vSphere to Red Hat OpenShift in an enterprise environment. The role covers the full migration lifecycle: discovery and readiness assessment, migration waves, testing, cutover, operational handover and decommissioning of the legacy platform. You will work with infrastructure, application, security, architecture and operations teams. You need enough technical depth to challenge assumptions and spot dependencies, but you won’t administer either platform hands-on.

• Build and maintain the transition roadmap, including migration waves, testing, cutover and decommissioning
• Coordinate delivery across technical and business teams
• Track dependencies, risks, issues and decisions, and escalate when needed
• Run migration changes through the change management process (assessment, approval, scheduling, communication)
• Coordinate functional, integration, performance, resilience and operational acceptance testing
• Plan operational handover: support model, documentation, monitoring, backup, patching and incident procedures
• Prepare status reports and steering committee materials
