Release Manager

We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Release Manager to oversee and coordinate the end-to-end software release process across multiple teams and environments. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering, QA, product, and operations to ensure reliable, efficient, and well-governed software deployments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical understanding with excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.

  • Define, coordinate, and maintain release plans and deployment schedules across multiple development teams and applications
  • Manage release pipelines and deployment processes, ensuring environments are properly prepared and deployment activities follow established standards
  • Assess release risks, identify dependencies, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to mitigate potential issues before production deployment
  • Facilitate release readiness activities, coordinate approvals, and ensure all teams are aligned on deployment timelines, requirements, and responsibilities
  • Support incident response during deployments, including rollback planning and coordination of recovery activities when necessary
  • Drive continuous improvement of release management practices by monitoring KPIs, analysing release outcomes, and enhancing CI/CD and automation processes

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Release Management, Software Delivery, IT Operations, Project Management, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, CI/CD principles, deployment automation, and DevOps practices
  • Hands-on experience working within Agile environments and familiarity with frameworks such as Scrum or ITIL
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate technical topics to both technical and business audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
