Senior Application Reliability Engineer

Verita HR Polska is a Human Resources service provider operating under number 5694.
We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:

Responsibilities

  •  Act as a Site Reliability Engineer within a global DevOps team supporting 24/7 production systems
  • Build and enhance automation solutions to improve service recovery and reduce MTTR
  • Lead incident resolution, perform root cause analysis, and drive post-incident improvements
  • Define and manage SLIs/SLOs, ensuring system reliability and performance targets are met
  • Design and improve observability and monitoring systems (metrics, logging, alerting)
  • Collaborate on software architecture and system design decisions
  • Contribute to application and infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery exercises
  • Improve operational efficiency by developing self-service tools and reducing manual workload
  • Provide L2 support and technical guidance to other teams
  • Participate in on-call rotations (weekends) and scheduled maintenance activities

Requirements

  •  Minimum 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Production Support
  • Strong backend coding skills (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js)
  • Experience with automation and monitoring tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and work in high-pressure environments
  • Experience working with distributed, global teams
  • Strong analytical mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is a plus
  • Frontend knowledge (e.g., React) – nice to have
