We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:
– Engineers should be comfortable leading major incident investigations, providing on-call support and managing projects with junior colleagues.
– Work with App Teams to deploy their application to AWS
– Develop in python and automate solutions
– Write Terraform scripts where required
– Upgrade existing and develop new security controls
– Compliance dashboard enhancements
– Provide 24/7 global support and coverage (rotational)
– The role is a balance of development, support and engineers will be given autonomy for more creative work
– Required technologies: Python, AWS Services, CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Git, Ansible
– Optional technologies: Terraform
– Broad experience working across many AWS services. You must believe that security is a fundamental aspect of delivering solutions and know what it takes to do so in an AWS context
– Practical understanding of DevOps practises and Agile working techniques. You build it, you own it, you support it mentality
– Demonstrable enterprise infrastructure delivery success stories
– Good understanding of Linux and/or Windows operating systems
– Proficient experience with CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc…
Nice to haves include: Good non-functional testing experience; Understanding of risk management and ensuring compliance against relevant regulatory processes; Experience working in a highly regulated industry
