Senior Database Administrator

An experienced Senior Database Administrator is sought to support and maintain business-critical database environments across hybrid infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of Microsoft SQL Server platforms while driving automation and continuous improvement of database operations.

This position requires working on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends.

Key responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Investigate and troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, long-running queries, resource utilization, and other database performance challenges.
• Support scheduled maintenance activities, including operating system patching, software deployments, database upgrades, and index maintenance.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop and enhance automation using T-SQL and PowerShell scripting.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver stable and reliable database services.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimization.
