Responsibilities
Design, build and support Linux-based infrastructure as part of a large-scale data center migration and modernization program.
Install, configure, administer and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Linux environments.
Deploy, configure and maintain middleware and application server platforms, including JBoss, WildFly, Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat and Spring Boot applications.
Support infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using automation tools such as Ansible and Rundeck.
Ensure high availability, security, performance and operational stability of Linux platforms across production and non-production environments.
Monitor system health, investigate performance bottlenecks and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and problems.
Collaborate with application, middleware, database, network and security teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
Support environment builds, infrastructure changes, testing activities and production cutovers.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis to improve platform reliability.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and infrastructure standards.
Identify opportunities to automate operational processes and improve platform efficiency.
Requirements
Extensive experience administering enterprise Linux environments, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Oracle Linux.
Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting and security best practices.
Hands-on experience with middleware and web application platforms such as JBoss, WildFly, Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat or similar technologies.
Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management using Ansible, Rundeck or comparable tools.
Proficiency in Bash scripting and/or Python for automation and operational tasks.
Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing and TLS/SSL.
Familiarity with PKI, certificates and cryptographic concepts used in enterprise environments.
Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical production systems.
Previous involvement in data center migrations, infrastructure transformation or large-scale platform migration projects is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
Experience working in cross-functional, international teams within project-driven environments.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
RHCE certification or equivalent Linux certifications are considered an advantage.
