We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller to join our client from the financial services sector. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining data models that support enterprise data platforms and analytics initiatives, working closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design conceptual, logical and physical data models.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data modelling solutions.
  • Define source-to-target mappings and data transformation logic.
  • Establish data quality rules and data integrity checks.
  • Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to data design standards, governance and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement of data modelling processes.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in data modelling for analytical and operational systems.
  • Knowledge of data modelling methodologies, including Data Vault 2.0, Star Schema and 3NF.
  • Experience with data profiling, metadata management and source-to-target mapping.
  • Ability to analyse complex data structures, including relational databases and semi-structured data (JSON/XML).
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
  • Python knowledge.
  • Exposure to big data technologies (e.g. Spark, Hadoop).
  • Experience in financial services or enterprise data modelling frameworks.
