A contract for specific work (umowa o dzieło) is a civil-law agreement in which the contractor is paid for delivering a defined result rather than for the time spent working. As a rule it is not subject to social security or health insurance contributions, unless it is concluded with the contractor's own employer.
A good fit for creators, freelancers and specialists delivering one-off, measurable results — designs, texts, software, analyses — who value simplicity and the highest net-to-gross ratio among civil-law contracts.
