Scrum Masters lead Poland’s agile shift at enterprise scale. They run ceremonies, smash blockers, and align tech teams with business goals across finance, IT, and gaming. As digital transformation accelerates, these agile shift drivers turn chaos into delivery, and Polish firms can’t hire them fast enough.
Today in Poland about 27,000 people have “scrum master” listed on their profiles somewhere. In contrast people with “agile” listed number over 100,000. This highlights the importance of both this competency and methodology in driving change in organizations in both Poland and the wider economy.
What is Scrum methodology?
Scrum as a methodology has been around for nearly 30 years. It was first introduced publicly in 1995 by Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber, and it remains the dominant Agile approach today. In fact, roughly 87% of organizations practicing Agile use Scrum or some Scrum hybrid. This widespread adoption explains why the Scrum Master, the team’s Agile facilitator and impediment-remover, is such a crucial role, and why demand for good Scrum Masters remains strong, including in Poland.
Employers have noticed this shift: as Max Cyrek (CEO of Cyrek Digital) observes, companies increasingly value Scrum Masters’ ability to transform teams and “are willing to pay a premium for true experts” who can drive agile change.
Salary Surge and Job Board Reality
Thus, Poland’s salary and market trends reveal an interesting trend in the demand for Scrum Masters.

Why Demand Outruns Supply
Scrum Masters command strong salaries in Poland’s IT and business sectors. Glassdoor data show a median total pay of around PLN 16,000 per month for Scrum Masters. A recent industry survey in Poland found that 78% of Scrum Masters received a raise in the last year and 73% expect another raise in the coming year. This strong pay reflects the tight market.
On one hand, dozens of Scrum Master roles are posted at any given time. For example, a quick search of leading Polish job portal pracuj.pl shows around 40 current openings for Scrum Master positions in Poland. That number is modest compared to, say, the 280+ postings for Product Owners on the same site or the thousands of developer vacancies advertised at any given time. This makes sense. A company that might hire 10 developers would still only need 1 Scrum Master to facilitate their team. When it comes to Glassdoor, we see a similar trend: about 168–170+ Scrum Master jobs in Poland are listed as open as of October 2025.
These figures may not seem significant at first glance. However, they underscore that while Scrum Masters are fewer in absolute number than software engineers, almost every mid-sized or larger tech company in Poland engages Scrum Masters in some capacity. Many organizations also promote internally for this role or have project managers double as Scrum Masters, which means fewer public job postings even though the function has been filled.
On the other hand, demand for Scrum Masters is outpacing supply. The same industry survey cited above notes that “demand for Scrum Masters is growing faster than the number of qualified candidates” and that organizations are increasingly creating dedicated Scrum Master positions (rather than assigning the role to an existing project manager or developer).
Why Scrum Masters Thrive in Polish Slowdowns
To get a better sense of the hiring climate, we reached out to Iwona Jagieła, HR Projects Coordinator at Verita HR Group, for her perspective.
“From a recruitment perspective at Verita HR, we see that demand for Scrum Masters in Poland remains consistently strong,” Iwona shared. “Interestingly, even when technical hiring slows down, the need for experienced Scrum Masters stays steady, as companies still look for people who can help teams collaborate effectively and deliver real business value.”
Over the years, Scrum Masters continue to be sought after in Poland. Iwona noted that the role has “evolved significantly” beyond just “meeting facilitators,” as employers seek “true change leaders who combine technological understanding with coaching skills and empathy.
“Experienced Scrum Masters who can connect business goals with a people-first mindset are among the most sought-after professionals on the market today,” she concluded.
The role of Scrum Master remains nearly as pivotal today as it was five or six years ago when Agile methods were exploding across Polish companies. This sustained demand reflects Poland’s growing status as a hub for complex, agile-driven projects in finance, IT, gaming, and beyond.
In short, experienced Scrum Masters are like unicorns. Companies must compete to attract them by offering higher pay and clear career paths.
What Polish Firms Demand Now
Modern Scrum Masters in Poland are expected to do more than run daily stand-ups, or sprints. Businesses typically look for skills in removing team impediments or siloes, aligning development with business goals, and scaling agile across units. The ability to coach a team through digital transformation is a key selling point.
CEO Max of Cyrek Digital notes that top-earning Scrum Masters are those who combine “deep methodological knowledge with business acumen and coaching skills.” Companies often require Scrum Masters to hold advanced agile certifications (Professional Scrum Master (PSM) II/III, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), LeSS, etc.) and to have experience in enterprise-level projects. Language skills are increasingly valued too, since many projects involve distributed or international teams, especially German language skills.
Employers expect Scrum Masters to be servant-leaders, change agents, and connectors between tech teams and management.
