You’ll sit within Product Control Data and Financial Engineering Team, partnering day-to-day with Product Control stakeholders to modernise controls and analytics. The focus is on building robust, automated solutions in Python/SQL, migrating legacy SQL Server logic into a scalable Python-based stack, and ensuring outputs are policy-compliant, well- governed and production-ready.
What you will do:
• Design, build, and maintain automated solutions to improve controls and analytical processes (Python/SQL)
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines: ingest, transform, validate and publish datasets for downstream Product Control use cases
• Develop strong understanding of data sourcing and lineage (inputs, transformations, outputs), including data quality checks and reconciliations
• Partner with Product Control stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements and comply with relevant policies and control standards
• Cooperate with Technology to ensure smooth integration, deployment and supportability (e.g., environments, scheduling, access, release processes)
• Promote programming and data literacy within Product Control (documentation, reusable patterns, peer support)
• In cooperation with the wider Product Control Data & Engineering team, support the correct delivery of standardised data to line teams
• Strong hands-on development in Python and SQL (writing production-quality, maintainable code)
• Knowledge of Jira, Git, test driven development
• Experience with financial data
• SDLC best practices (version control, code reviews, testing, documentation, release management)
• Experience building ETL/ELT processes and working with relational databases (ideally SQL Server) and data modelling concepts
• University graduate from a reputed institution in engineering, finance, economic subjects or similar
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
