Magazyn Rekruter was first published as a PDF in March 2010. The original editorial team drew inspiration from how leading publications like UK Recruiter and the Recruitment Consultant were operated from London. Although Rekruter was always published in Polish, it was heavily influenced by what was happening across the world, and not just in Poland.

The first ever issue carried an interview with independent economist Richard Mbewe on the topic of Shared Service Centres (SSC). SSCs and BPOs were two of the main areas that agencies were looking at at the time.

The Polish Recruitment Industry Awards

Verita HR launched the magazine at the same moment it organised the first Wieczór Rekrutera and the Perły HR awards. The intention was straightforward: create a place just for the recruitment industry, where recruiters would be given recognition for making a difference.

Two years later the magazine marked its anniversary with a special edition. The cover carried the line “2 lata. Jesteśmy z Wami!” The issue included an investigation into Architekci Kariery, a firm that charged job-seekers for help finding work and had already begun to divide opinion among recruiters.

How Politics and International Affairs shaped Magazyn Rekruter

In August 2013 the magazine carried a section on Ukraine. The team looked at the first stages of the conflict there and how it was affecting recruiters and hiring trends. Readers later described the piece as one that stayed with them. The same issue examined GoWork and the effect of anonymous employer reviews on companies that spent heavily on branding.

August 2014 brought an interview with Janusz Korwin-Mikke. The conversation covered employment contracts, the position of younger workers, trade unions and the constraints facing Polish entrepreneurs. The magazine also ran a discussion on the Tripartite Commission, which had not met for more than a year, and a piece with Anita Błaszczak of Rzeczpospolita on generations, universities and career choices. Magazyn Rekruter had already moved past its first issues. HR directors were sitting on the jury of Perły HR, and the coverage was reaching the leaders of Poland’s main recruitment businesses.

Celebrating Success

In October 2014 a special edition was published built around Wieczór Rekrutera and the Perły HR awards. The winners that year included Anna Graboś of Interimax, Magdalena Wajsgerber-Ratajek of GP People and Monika Goluch of Antal International. Jury members included the HR directors from TNT Express, Hortex and Luxoft, together with the president of the Association of Employment Agencies. The event had already become the annual point at which the industry met in one room. Fifteen editions have taken place since the first one in 2010.

In October 2015 the magazine opened the story of “Mordor na Domaniewskiej” to a wider audience. Rafał Ferber, who ran the fan page of that name, spoke about corporate life in the Mokotów office cluster and how the Tolkien reference had attached itself to the buildings.

By April 2018 the magazine was examining what made a recruitment campaign effective. One case study came from PwC. Another looked at Capgemini’s “Dyżury rekrutacyjne,” which had won recognition in the EB Kreator awards. Dariusz Użycki of Pedersen & Partners used the pages to question the habit of treating LinkedIn as the primary tool.

From PDF to Online Newswire

March 2020 was the last PDF edition. The magazine marked ten years. The contents included a comparison of recruiters in Poland and the UK, a discussion of salary ranges in marketing and sales, a note on anti-mobbing procedures, and a look at the gig economy. After that the publication moved fully online.

The online version kept the same focus on people, organisations and the practical questions that HR directors and recruitment managers face every day. The team focused on generating larger numbers of content than had been the case with the PDF version, and over time instead of 5 or 6 articles appearing each month, the team were publishing 10 or 12. These included interviews with HR leaders, recruitment influencers, and new companies entering the Polish market. The site also showcased various press releases that were relevant to the job market in Poland.

One of the biggest moments for the team was being able to support a very important book called “Ciuciubabka” authored by Magdalena Bobbe. The book looks at the pressures people face in modern corporate life, including the effects of social media and AI. It is available in English and is called “Through the Blindfold.”

Over time the scope widened. The questions that the team received were increasingly involving technology, regulation and the way markets themselves were changing. At the same time, the change in priorities with the advent of AI meant that the market needed something new. Something that looked to the future.

The work of Marlena Majewska, Aleksandra Radziewska-Wyłudek, Sylwia Zając, and Sylwia Pyzik in building the original brand, and the many people who helped Magazyn Rekruter and Wieczór Rekrutera become recognised in the Polish market, remains part of the story.

What is MRKT3.0?

In 2026 the new direction evolved into MRKT3.0. The “MR” remains the Magazyn Rekruter part. The new platform covers AI policy, regulation and market intelligence from a European perspective. Klaudia Archimowicz, head of Growth, described the change as deliberate: the foundation stays, the environment around it has moved.

Grace Sharp is Features Editor of MRKT3.0. The readership includes founders, engineers, policy makers and investors. It remains independent, and several people from the original Magazyn Rekruter team are still involved.

Recent pieces have followed Edward Warchocki, the 132 cm humanoid that went viral in Warsaw after herding wild boars and being asked to leave a museum, then put his own drinks on the shelves of DINO stores. Others have examined whether AI companion apps are easing loneliness or simply profiting from it.

One of the places you can still follow similar trends to those that Magazyn Rekruter used to cover is the News section of Verita HR’s site. Today, you can find stories about Recruitment and HR that affect people in Poland, but this time it is in English. You can find many more stories there, including about particular skills shortages in Poland as well as data about salaries.
