The ASPIRE Annual Conference takes place in Kraków on 22 and 23 September. This year’s theme is Man vs Machine. Verita HR will moderate the Future Forum.

Klaudia Archimowicz, Product Director at Verita HR, will chair the panels on the Future Forum stage. The discussions will examine where AI is already part of everyday business, where human judgement remains essential, and what European regulations say about risk, data and governance.

Around 1,000 leaders from the technology and global business services sectors are expected to attend. The sector employs 120,000 people in Kraków and 250,000 across southern Poland. The Future Forum will sit alongside four other stages: the World Stage, the People’s Pavilion, the War Room and The Zone. The conference will be held at Stara Zajezdnia and the Museum of Engineering and Technology.

Hiring is a challenge the speakers will return to throughout the conference. Companies already use AI to find candidates, match skills, conduct initial interviews and manage administrative work. But the decision to hire still belongs to a person. Under the EU AI Act, tools used to target roles, filter applications or score candidates may be classified as high-risk systems.

“We are not coming to Kraków to ask whether companies will use AI in hiring. They already do,” said Archimowicz. “The live question for the panels is where it should stop. Speed in sourcing is one thing. Accountability for a person is another. If the model built the shortlist and the recruiter only signed it off, that is the point the discussion has to reach. That includes how candidate data is handled and what responsible use looks like under European law.”

Archimowicz worked on the People’s Pavilion at last year’s ASPIRE Conference. Moving to the Future Forum this year reflects the same change taking place inside companies: the people agenda and the tools used in the process are now part of one conversation.

Verita HR joined ASPIRE in 2010, the same year the HR firm opened its first office in Kraków. Recruitment, HR and outsourcing are central to the firm’s work, which is why it will take part in this stage.
