It is a recurring theme. Clients, employees, partners, in an ideal world they want your company to take clear and visible action to protect the environment. Employees want to work at a company where sustainability commitments from the website are genuinely reflected in their daily job. These are important considerations. Considerations that are taken seriously at Verita HR. Today we wanted to highlight to our followers how Verita HR embraces ESG and Sustainability.
Since the start of the company back in April 2009 it has always been a priority for the company to support the environment. But the ESG agenda isn’t only about the environment. It is about the social and the governance as well. We wanted to share some of the important things that confirm these activities.
What does Verita HR do for the Environmental part of ESG?
The Verita HR offices in Warsaw and Krakow are both located in modern buildings.
The Krakow office has received the BREEAM certification which confirms that the building is sustainable. It also confirms the building prioritizes energy efficiency, water management, waste reduction, materials selection, health and wellbeing, resilience, land use and ecology as well as pollution.
The office in Warsaw is a little less modern but offers many of the energy efficient initiatives you would expect from a company. Importantly, both offices of Verita HR are located next to a host of public transport routes. The Warsaw office especially is well located, being a total of ten metres from the entrance to the Wilanowska Metro station. Additionally, the Warsaw office uses energy solely generated from renewable energy sources.
Although, historically, many recruitment businesses would have kept printed copies of candidates’ CVs, this trend has finished. Since the inception of Verita HR our company has operated a database built on the 4D platform. 4D has a very high ESG rating as can be seen below:
Additionally to the above are numerous events that our teams participate in. Be they arranged by the building management companies or by our own internal teams. Like disposing of printer cartridges, electric waste and other equipment in an environmentally friendly manner. Our finance and account management teams are always speaking to our supply chain to ensure that they also adhere to the high standards that our clients require.
What does Verita HR do for the Social part of ESG?
As a recruitment business it is much easier to address the ‘social’ element of ESG. Many of the things we do have an impact on society. Additionally our teams are active in the Warsaw and Krakow ecosystems.
Some of the more specific initiatives include working with Women-led not-for-profit organizations. Examples of this are the partnerships forged through our newswire Magazyn Rekruter with organizations like:
Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2025
Women Business London | Events to empower women professionals
Helping Hand – Mental Health Programme
She Hacks – HackYeah 2024 – the biggest stationary hackathon in Europe
This is on top of the long history of supporting women in the workplace at Verita HR. For instance, from 2010 to 2013 the ‘Kobieta w Pracy’ initiative formed part of the company’s strategy. Today we choose to support others in this space.
Finally, it is important to give something back. Over the last two years we have been supporting Dexter Simms, Founder of Black Tech Day in the United Kingdom. Find out more:

What does Verita HR do for the Governance part of ESG?
In today’s world there is a drive for all things ‘decentralized’. It is important to foster a culture where employees feel part of the company. In this regard Verita HR was one of the first companies in Poland to implement all the aspects of Investors in People. Within the structure of the certification there is a requirement to ensure that Personal Development, Morale, Leadership, and Continuous Improvement are highlighted amongst employees.
As a result of being a forerunner of employee engagement in Poland, Verita HR has something unique. It has a ‘Strategy Team’. Members of the strategy team are chosen from amongst the employees. Many of them are winners of various in-house awards that Verita HR undertakes at least once a year. The role of individual members of the strategy team is to strengthen employee engagement by focusing on the core principles of Investors in People. And, when they are lower than desired, to help improve them.
Additionally, Verita HR has three fundamental company values.
