We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client’s behalf for a person in the following role:

What you will do:
• Lead the Infrastructure (DBA + Unix/Linux) team delivering operational and engineering outcomes for critical services and vendor-underpinned platforms
• Own team delivery end-to-end: demand intake, prioritisation, execution and reporting
• Drive improvements in monitoring/alerting and performance across infrastructure and databases
• Establish and uphold engineering and operational standards (documentation, peer review, quality controls, runbooks, change practices) and measure outcomes to improve team performance
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to build capability and uplift engineers into a high-performing infrastructure function
• 3+ years leading engineers/technical specialists and providing technical direction in an enterprise environment
• Proven experience transforming a team into a high-performing function
• Strong DBA (Oracle & Postgres) and/or Unix/Linux Skills
• Proven experience maintaining highly available, low-latency systems in a regulated industry (preferably banking, fintech or insurance)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (performance troubleshooting, stability, capacity, incident analysis)
• Working experience in Agile methodologies
• Ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment
