There was a time when recruitment companies in Poland took any recruitment project. Even lower-level positions demanded ‘traditional research’ methods. Over time this has changed dramatically and recruitment businesses in Poland have had to change. Recruiters and their bosses need to specialize to engage the talents that clients demand today. It’s this specialization that has led to HRO Digital becoming the best recruitment agency in Warsaw today.
It’s not just about shiny websites and impressive social media footprints. Your recruitment partner needs to have in-depth insights into the market. And this knowledge needs to be constantly developed. One cannot simply stand still. Especially if you want to be the best recruitment agency in Warsaw.
The dramatic changes we are seeing in technology over the last decade have brought challenges to companies. These changes have also forced recruitment managers to have to change how they work. Today if you run a recruitment team you can’t just stay on top by monitoring trends in employment. You need to become technical. You need to know about cloud computing, data, and artificial intelligence. At the very least. You need to strive to be the best recruitment agency in your given market.
How HRO Digital became the Best
In 2010, when Verita HR started out as a premium recruitment business in Poland, one of the flagship brands of the company was a division called ‘HRO Finance’. It was a strong division that undertook recruitment projects in finance and accounting from some of the leading companies in Warsaw and Krakow. There was a huge need to find financial professionals with languages at the time. Be that in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or even in finance.
This needed a level of knowledge that was readily available on the market. Recruiters didn’t find this type of role to be particularly demanding. Poland was still building its reputation as a ‘nearshoring’ hub at the time. It was easy to be the best recruitment agency in Warsaw at the time.
With time, projects moving to Poland became more complex. International companies became aware of the calibre of Polish employees. They could do more than basic accounting, customer service, and IT helpdesk roles. At the time, the concept of Fintech was also growing in popularity. Initially this went relatively unnoticed. There were some banking and payments companies already looking at Poland, but the roles they were recruiting were not particularly sophisticated. They were not really Fintech yet either.
The exception was State Street. The global financial institution has been hiring hedge fund administrators in Poland for more than a decade now. This specialization wasn’t Fintech, but it did highlight the talent available in Poland. And it was only a matter of time before other big financial institutions in Poland started to look at the market too. Some of them started to see the potential of hiring sophisticated and talented Polish quantitative analysts. These were roles that the team at HRO Finance started sourcing for as early as 2015.
From Quantitative Analysts to Fintech Professionals
One of the first companies looking for quantitative analysts or quants to work on the international stage in Poland was CRISIL Irevna. Located in Wroclaw the company supported global investment banking giants with extra work they needed to address surrounding regulatory concerns. The companies’ services were in demand. They needed a lot of help in resourcing for new employees. For quantitative analysts. They needed the best recruitment agency in the sector to help them with this. They got HRO Finance.
It wasn’t long after this that the leadership team in Verita HR decided that the HRO Finance brand wasn’t enough for what the market needed anymore. Clients were looking for financial professionals with advanced technical skills. A knowledge of cloud computing and python were just some of the new skills being looked for. This meant that finance recruiters needed to learn tech. Or technical recruiters needed to learn what derivatives were. This needed a new brand. And this meant that HRO Digital was created.
HRO Digital built on Recruitment Bootcamps
For a few years the handful of recruiters that had re-trained from HRO Finance were enough to address the needs on the market. But in 2017 this changed. The demand for talented professionals increased dramatically. This meant that new recruiters were needed too. But there were not enough recruiters on the market with the necessary skills.
This is where the concept of a recruitment bootcamp first started. To address the growing demand for talent, the new brand of HRO Digital started with a strong team of more than six experienced recruiters. These recruiters in turn had a lot of knowledge to share. And this meant that a bootcamp was the best solution.
To stay the best, one must cast one’s net much further. Bringing young talent into the recruitment industry is never easy. Especially when that talent comes with almost no relevant experience. With time, and patience, a team was forged. Each bootcamp was a group of 6 to 8 young people. Some of them are still with HRO Digital today. They have grown together with the clients they work for. And they have learnt their trade from scratch. They are supported by experienced finance and technology recruiters. They also have strong leadership when training is needed from within Verita HR’s leadership team.
HRO Digital’s bootcamps last anywhere from 8 weeks to 3 months. They focused on individual elements of the recruitment process. They also addressed the need to learn cloud computing, Basel III, how the Federal Reserve works, and why there is a stock exchange in Warsaw. Through interactive training, with real life client challenges to solve, the team had to learn fast. The energy was often overwhelming. The goal was to be the best recruitment agency in Warsaw.
From Bootcamp to Client Success
One of the attributes of a successful team is longevity. Another is atmosphere. Both these appear in abundance within HRO Digital. When learning to support a client’s recruitment process also gives one the option to get educated on everything related to finance, it is a win-win. The newest recruiters in HRO Digital all know what Revolut is. They were aware of bitcoin from the day they started. Many of them even invested in Nvidia in late 2023 or early 2024. The returns have been phenomenal.
What the above means for Verita HR’s clients is one thing. They have a chance to work with the best. To work with people who add to the unique culture of the best recruitment agency in Warsaw.
